Great news: Clean energy has reached what venture capitalists call “an inflection point.” There is no stopping it, and it has become a worldwide, major positive trend.
Fossil fuel industry attempts to kill renewable energy have failed, and all signs are for the growth of renewable energy to continue – and become ever more exciting.
At the same time, all major automakers around the world have announced plans to introduce many electric and advanced hybrid vehicles, with most preparing to be out of the gasoline vehicle business entirely between 2030 and 2040. The trigger of course is that the UK, France, India, China, the Netherlands, Sweden have all announced plans to end the sale of gasoline vehicles in their countries – at various dates between 2030 and 2040.
Even one leading American state, California, is considering ending the sale of gasoline vehicles in 2040 to allow transition time… if they succeed, other States will follow suit, as around half of American states ultimately copy California’s laws and policies when its laboratory-of-democracy experiments prove smart and successful.
All this adds up to earthshaking, encouraging news in the climate change solutions fight… we now actually have a fighting chance of making it – something to celebrate!

Not sure how to start saving the planet (civilization, really)? Start by always remembering Al Gore’s famous saying: “Hope is a renewable resource.”
Then, our practical answer becomes “Deeply know the personal Superpowers” we all bring to the game of life:
1) To save the planet, CHANGE OURSELVES FIRST;
2) To save the planet, INVEST OUR WORKING LIVES;
3) To save the planet, USE OUR VOICES and take advocacy seriously! Never miss a vote and never, ever stop influencing your government and all businesses locally, at the state level, and at the national level. As well, set a solid example for all around you to see. Jawbone to others about what we need to do, and influence them as peers. Finally, have an annual cash donations program. All of these are ways we can use our voices.
Stay focussed: Lead the way with substantive global warming solutions. (Far from being a bummer, this is actually a fun trend for each of us to be part of… get energized!) Our kids and their kids will be proud of us.
And in all cases and at all times, cast aside the learned-helplessness that infects so much of modern life… the time is now for climate change solutions. Never give up.
