It is very interesting how steady the industry’s growth has become as it has gained investor, utilities and government confidence, so that right now wind energy approximately equals hydroelectric energy in the US, seen in the third chart.

Take a look at the article and savor the concise picture its charts give readers?  Investing one’s career in climate change solutions is more than simply learning the job skills:  One must also “go-to-school” on every article and source of insight about your target industry you can lay your hands on:  For example, see the Nagendran’s first chart for a sense for where the jobs are… or the fifth article showing the industry’s growth rate:  By adding turbines capacity every year, that tells you there will be steady job prospects.

(A bonus:  For those readers interested in advocacy and using their voices to fight climate change, take a look at the fourth chart showing the surprisingly high success clean wind energy experiences in red states, which one might wrongly expect are resistant to renewables… if you live in one of those states doesn’t this open up a way to use your voice to influence the local civic conversation?  If preventing global warming weren’t enough of a good reason to use capture wind energy, point out that its cost keeps getting cheaper, putting cash back in utility customer’s wallets!  Basically, you pay for the upfront equipment and, forevermore, the raw energy is free except for maintenance… a very good deal for frugal local consumers.)
